Since I would normally be broadcasting from Cannes at this time, I decided to go into the vault and share some of my cherished memories from past years spent along the French Riviera in the midday sun. The following video was originally published on May 13th, 2016 and produced by me and Scott Dummler of Mint Media Works.--Chaz Ebert
The Press Conference at Cannes can be wild affairs with some questions eliciting unexpected answers. In 2014, Chaz Ebert received a memorable answer from Quentin Tarantino, and this year, she asked George Clooney a question, and his answer made international news.
In her latest video dispatch, Chaz presents Clooney's full answer in which he makes pointed comments about presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.

The following text is the transcript of the video...
Yesterday at the Cannes Film Festival, at a press conference for the movie, "Money Monster," directed by Jodie Foster, I posed a question to the panel, and George Clooney's answer made national and even international news. It's been reported everywhere, from The Hollywood Reporter, USA Today and even Fox News. I want to show you my original question, and George Clooney's entire answer in context...
...I think it's important for you to know that at this press conference yesterday, they didn't set out to make it political. But when I posed the question, George did answer it in a very straightforward manner. I do want to add that I am concerned about what's happening in our country. I don't think we are a nation of schoolyard bullies. I want to see the discourse of our political presidential election raised to a level that's befitting of the American people.
